Accounting & Auditing

Accurate Accounts. Audit-Ready Records.

Prime Regent provides accounting and auditing support for businesses in Dubai and across the UAE. We maintain the day-to-day records, ledgers and reconciliations that keep your accounts accurate, and we prepare those same records for audit: assembling schedules, agreeing balances to supporting evidence and working alongside your appointed auditor through the review. Well-kept books and a smooth audit are the same job, done in the right order.

An audit is rarely difficult when the records were maintained properly in the first place.

From Daily Records to Audit-Ready Accounts

Accurate accounting is the foundation of every reliable financial statement, tax submission and audit file. When transactions are recorded consistently and reconciled on schedule, the year-end review becomes a verification exercise rather than a reconstruction. When records fall behind, the opposite happens: balances stop matching, supporting documents cannot be located, and a straightforward audit turns into weeks of remedial work.

Prime Regent covers both sides. On the accounting side we handle outsourced monthly bookkeeping, ledger maintenance, reconciliations and periodic reporting. On the audit side we prepare the audit file, compile the schedules and confirmations auditors request, agree balances to supporting evidence, respond to queries during fieldwork and help implement the recommendations that follow. We also carry out internal reviews of accounting records and controls for businesses that want an independent look before the statutory audit begins.

How We Work

A Clear Accounting and Audit Cycle

Accounting runs monthly and audit preparation runs from the year-end close, but they follow one continuous route. Scope and timing are agreed in advance so you know what is prepared, when it is delivered and what we need from your team.

We review how your business operates: transaction volume, revenue streams, banking arrangements, accounting software, financial year end and whether an audit is required for your licence or shareholders.

Invoices, bank statements, purchase documents, payroll summaries, contracts and existing ledgers are gathered through an agreed handover routine so nothing is missing at month-end or year-end.

Transactions are recorded and classified against your chart of accounts, then bank, customer and supplier balances are reconciled to confirm the ledger reflects actual activity.

At year-end we close the accounts, prepare the financial statements and assemble the audit file: lead schedules, breakdowns, confirmations and the supporting evidence auditors will ask for.

We respond to auditor queries during fieldwork, provide additional analysis where requested, and afterwards help implement the observations raised so the following year runs more smoothly.

FAQ

Accounting & Auditing Questions Answered

Common questions from business owners and finance managers about outsourced accounting and audit preparation in the UAE. If your situation is not covered here, our team is happy to talk it through.

A standard monthly cycle covers recording and classifying sales, purchases and expenses, maintaining the general ledger, posting journal entries, reconciling bank and card accounts, updating customer and supplier ledgers, and closing the period. Most clients also receive a monthly reporting pack. The exact scope is agreed at the start so both sides are clear on what is delivered each month.

Prime Regent prepares your accounts and audit file and supports you through the process; the audit opinion itself is issued by a registered audit firm. In practice that means we close the year, prepare the financial statements, compile the schedules and evidence the auditors request, answer their queries during fieldwork and help you act on their recommendations afterwards.

Preparation makes the difference. We agree the ledger balances to supporting documentation, prepare lead schedules for each major account, organise contracts, invoices and bank confirmations, and review areas auditors typically focus on such as revenue cut-off, accruals, related-party balances and fixed assets. Most delays in an audit come from missing documents rather than disputed figures.

Yes. Records that are several months or several years behind can be brought up to date. We assess the volume and condition of the available documents, agree a realistic timeline, then work through the periods in sequence, reconciling as we go so opening balances carry forward correctly. This is often the first step where an audit has been deferred because the books were not ready.

In most cases, yes. Working within the system your team already knows avoids migration effort and keeps historical data in place. We review the current chart of accounts and setup first, suggest practical adjustments where the structure limits reporting or complicates the audit trail, and continue from there. If you are not yet using accounting software, we can assist with selection and setup instead.
